Every great painting is hiding something.
art-y sells prints, canvas and framed art of the great paintings. Van Eyck, Vermeer, Van Gogh, Rembrandt. The works you already half know from a schoolbook or a postcard.
What makes ours different
Every painting in this shop has something in it that almost nobody has seen.
A second face buried under the surface. A song written into the corner of Hell. A church tower you can read the exact minute from. Most of these were not found by art historians. They were found by scientists, using X-rays, infrared cameras and machines a million times brighter than the sun.
We find them, and we tell you exactly where to look. So the piece on your wall is not decoration. It is the one you know the secret of, and you will be the only person in the room who does.
The prints
Enhanced matte paper at 189 g/m², gallery wrapped canvas at 344 g/m², or finished and framed ready to hang. Every weight and material is listed on the product page, in sizes from a desk to a whole wall.
Our team takes a few business days to prepare each order. Shipping is free worldwide and tracked from the moment it leaves.
Where the research comes from
Every week we publish a video taking one painting apart, detail by detail, until the hidden thing turns up. That work is what fills this shop.
